Stock Tail Light with static amber section ?

Has anyone done anything like this? I really enjoyed my old ranger with the true amber tail lights and wondering if anyone tinted their stock ones like this? I've seen where they sell amber tint and others who have painted the outside with amber paint, but it looks to fade quite fast. I assume since the Tundra isn't offered in Europe, they don't have to meet EU regulations on the tail lights to include amber.

 

You could try either the Oracal 8300 transparent vinyl or LaminX film.

 

Really wish the 2.5g and 3rd had amber rear turns. Ford and Dodge of all companies have them now on the full size.
