Overfilling oil, how bad is it, gang? I just changed oil on my venza the other day and it is sitting about 1/8" higher than max fill on the dipstick. Maybe even 3/16". Should I drain half a cup? The engine is 4cyl and takes about 4.5 quarts total.

Also, how do you tell when vehicle is level, especially on pickups? Theres always rake(?) when front end is lower than rear end.

When the ground isn’t level. Don’t over think it. Find level ground and check.

Yes, I would dump some oil. If you don’t, you’ll think about it all the time.

Install a Fumoto valve on the next oil change. That way if it ever happens again you just open the valve and run some out.

Once upon a time, my brother double filled the oil on a car of mine.

    Think spyhunter smoke.

The engine lasted about 24 hours...
