Thank you, @Talon2006. Noted. I'm guilty of not drinking enough.

I'm laughing my butt off here at some of these comments but it is no fun to be constipated. If you are pushing hard, you can injure yourself. BM's should happen comfortably. In the short term, go see a doctor.

I take two teaspoons of psyllium fiber each day in a glass of water. The stuff I use is a knockoff of Metamucil that Costco sells. You should definitely add this, or similar, to your diet.

    Good luck!

Thanks @Rigger . I try to avoid pushing hard. If it doesn't exit, I sit and let the pressures normalize and gently thrust to help it along the way. I'm eating plenty of bread, so getting enough fiber is not a problem.

Yes, thank you. And average is 55 actually. I decelerate uphill down to 50. It's very rare when it dips below that.

Whole grain breads have fiber, “white” breads do not. Be discerning, as the wrong bread could put you back in the same spot.

Back in the day coming back from a fortnight of MRE’s or worse we’d go hit up a local Mexican dive for some musical fruit. That first time back in the saddle was like a soup can coming out but the frijoles got things back to normal in a day or 2.

    glad you’re doing better

Question is... drink a little, now to drain the fiddle, standing or sitting while the room is spinning?

I once took 8 days to take a crap.

I thought something was wrong with me so I went to the emergency room.

Took a shit while I waited 4 hours to see a doctor. What a waste.

More fiber, more water, get a squat toilet.
Worst is when recovering from multiple surgeries with associate nerve blockers and narcotics. Damn near have to get a pick axe and pry bar.

The 'Be discerning' part is the most important thing because many 'whole grain breads' in the US contain few whole grains and a lot of refined flour, which means your fibre intake might not be as much as you think.

You really just need to offset it by drinking more water. Caffeine is a diuretic.

Yes, thank you. I started drinking water, more water. Also i made "elixir of life". It consists of lukewarm water, baking soda, honey and apple cider vinegar. Nasty combination, but my belly feels better now.

I almost threw up while finishing the cup. Uber nasty, but I cant really point a finger at which part of it or in what way it is nasty.

Edit: I'm sorry, I meant apple vinegar, not cider.

2 cheesy Gorditas, one crunch wrap supreme, 2 bean burritos, and a bottle of Colt 45. You'll be staining the porcelain for a full day.
