So, if one of the bump stops ended up going missing... how big of an issue is that?

Shop is installing my 6112s up front as we speak, and the driver's side is missing the more rearward of the front bump stops. Coilovers are set at 3rd circlip, so here's 1 washer on the present front stop (as recommended per Bilstein).

The missing bump stop decided to leave the pin in the frame. It'll take some drilling and torching and PB blasting and maybe even upside-down-air-compressor-cooling to try to get it out. I have a 90-degree impact attachment on its way to help me try to get it out. In the meantime, how crucial is it to have BOTH bump stops? I don't plan on doing a lot of wheeling, but will be taking it onto dirt roads and such.

It will be fine unless the other one goes missing. If that happens, you just might destroy the shock if it hits bottom. Beware, those nuts like to break off inside the frame too when you try to remove the bump stops. Wouldn't surprise me if your installer actually broke it off and just said that it was missing.

Thanks to @memario1214 for sending me Durobumps ASAP. I just took off the other side OEM bump stop and it broke at the bolt. The installer actually told me he broke off the first one and didn't want to touch the other side cause he knew it would break as well. Advised me to either drop the LCA to drill it out or get a discount on the install and figure it out myself.

So, I got an extractor kit, some stubby drill bits and went at it. Even with a torch and days of PB Blaster the extractor was useless. I broke one and thought I was screwed. Thankfully, I was able to use a punch tool to reverse it out.

Colton from Hot Shot confirmed the Durobumps bolt thread pattern and I grabbed the proper M10x1.25 tap. Stepped up to a 11/32 bit for the final bore before rethreading the hole. Both sides are finally setup for full range articulation.

And these OEM bump stops are the sumabitches that sucked 3 hours of my life. Don't bother trying to extract the busted pins. Just drill them out and tap new threads. Could've saved me at least 1 if not 2 hours if I just went straight to drilling.

Yeah, but I had to get the angled drill attachment to access it. Then I bought a low profile drill bit set that allowed me to get in there with enough clearance. It was a total pain in the ass, but it worked out after a couple hours of patience.

You'll see what I used in the first photo on my post above.
