225K miles, differential fluid has never been changed.

    Okay, it's possible it may have been done ONCE. Maybe. Who knows how long ago. A lot of my routine maintenance was done at the dealership, but I can't recall them ever suggesting it. So, I'm gonna go with never.

    Anyway. Is this one of those things like an automatic transmission, where you change the fluid after waaay too long, and it blows up the transmission? Or just go ahead and change it, better late than never?

    My manual has vanished. 75W-85? How much does it hold?

    Youtube says I should replace the washers?

    Rear holds around 4 qts. Yes, it calls for 75W85, though I used 75W90 on my replacement. Yes, replace the crush washers, you can get a pack for 12 bucks on Amazon with multiple.
