Is this a factory sway bar?

Was driving and sounded like the whole rear end was coming out !

found a missing bushing causing hall the racket but can’t seem to find parts.

Is this some type of towing add on??

 

There's a TRD rear sway bar which I thought was a dealer add-on, but I don't think that's it. Nothing from the factory I recall.

 

Im guessing hellwig? The gen 2 model has adjustable mounts like that one

 

That's probably a Hellwig rear swaybar.

The bushings in them are rather generic. Take on into your LAPS and see if they have a fit for it.

 

Yes, that is identical to my Hellwig rear sway bar I installed 5 years ago. When first installing, I accidentally mixed up the bushings and couldn't get them out. I contacted Hellwig and they sent me replacement bushings, I think for free or I just paid shipping. It would be worth reaching out to Hellwig to get replacements.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this group.

If the bolts actually come out I’ll try to get bushings from them …if not I’ll scrap it.

 

If getting rid of the bar, I definitely recommend trying to resell it first. I paid around $350 new for mine, and I can only imagine they have gone up in price. Might be worth trying to get some cash for it if you do decide to sell.

 

Just noticed the price. I plan to try and keep it now that I know who to get parts from.

You could also pull the bushing from the other side and try to find a match. I would replace all of them in the sway bar setup if it were me.

 

That’s my plan. Will see what the MFR says and let everyone know.

 

Keep the rear bar, for the love of God. Having a rear sway bar is a night and day difference in on-road handling in these trucks. It's surprising they didn't come from the factory with them.
