    Hi all,

About to take my 2020 Tundra in for a 40K service, and per usual I expect them to try and "sell" me services it doesn't really need. I have decided to start doing oil changes every 5K instead of every 10K. I did. look at the book, but it essentially says not much...

Truck is not currently used for towing, and is a pavement princess. We do have winter here and salty roads. I mostly make 20 plus minute trips with the truck, not many short trips.

Any recommendations for additional service other than oil and filter? I am not bothering with the tire rotation because I am getting new ones in September. Any other things I should have them do? I am hoping to keep the Tundra until the wheels fall off or I sell my house, whichever comes first, so I need another 5-10 years out of this truck!

    Thanks in advance!

    -T

If you want to get crazy, the gear oil in the transfer case and front and rear differentials.

I did those along with a few transmission drain and fills around 40k miles. Probably unnecessary or overkill. I wasn’t paying a shop to do it though.

TRD ROB and Wallygator like this.
