I would put 20 gallons from “empty”
in my 2014 DC with the 26 gal tank.

I put 30 gallons from “empty” in my 2019 CM with the 38 gal tank.

However you want to *math* it, it’s a 150% or 33% difference. That’s real world. @MedCityMoto is correct.

In ever understood the hate on adaptive cruise. I love it. Never use it in the Tundra but i have in the wife's Subaru on long trips.

You can use crise without the adaptive setting...pretty sure.

I use it, but set the car distance to 1 bar instead of 3. Doing 1 bar helps prevent the hard braking when folks pull in front of you.

I won't lie, I don't hate adaptive cruise control, but it wasn't super high on my "need" list, and it doesn't help that when I drive long-distance in the truck I'm also towing and therefore not using cruise control anyway. Mostly though, I got caught at the beginning of the exorbitant pricing wave during COVID, or I'd have targeted a 2018 instead of a 2016. But at the time if I'd wanted a 2018 under 100k miles, I'd have spent over $40k, and that was right out the budget window. Shame I can get the same truck for $4k less nowadays, but thems the breaks.

    I always wondered about that.

If I run my 2016 DC tank down to "empty" (after the distance to empty display goes down to 1 mile, and then just says "low fuel") I can put exactly 30 gallons in. So I guess I have a "38 gallon" tank too.

My 2019 with the 38 is pretty accurate, I fill up and it shows a 500 mile range which is pretty on point with when the gas light will come on and Ill have 8 gallons left which is by design since thats probably about what it takes to cover the fuel pump. I'd say its a pretty useable difference since Im sure the fuel light probably comes on with around 6 gallons left in the 26 tank.
