On Wednesday I towed an unloaded F-750 water truck out of a ditch with my 2015 Tundra 1794. The water truck was on it's way to put out the local 14,000-acre forest fire. Put it in 4WD Low and used a tow strap. Surprised the 20' nylon strap held(it tore 75% of the way through, though).

Nice save. Did it take 2 Tundras to do it?

You are a good man. Your transmission technician will thank you some time soon.

...The Toyota pulling out a Ford would ruffle the feathers of the Ford PR department if it was a commercial, but too bad for them!

...What's funny is the whole job was hampered by the F-750 not having front tow hooks. Somebody ran the strap thru the frame corner or a motor mount or something.

Well, I think these sorts of pulls are down to traction. Pretty sure any truck could have pulled out that f-750. At such low speeds, any vehicle can create extraordinary amount of torque.

World's strongest men competitors pull full size buses (albeit on flat smooth ground). Traction and Torque is key.
