The next journey I have decided to plunge for 315/70r17 bfg AT without a bracket I currently have JBA ucas 5100s with 2885 springs will plan on adding next a diff drop 1 in a strut spacer 1 in 1 in wheel spacers extended sway bar end links. Anyone suggest anything else or have any idea where I will be cutting thanks

You understand what happens when you use strut spacers, right? It still changes suspension geometry. It’s not like dropping in a body lift where there is no real risks and zero impact on geometry. And what’s your logic on the diff drop?

People literally do this all the time yes it does change geometry but it’s minimal the UCA can handle it the diff drop is for CV axle angles

If you plan on articulating the suspension and actually turn, you won’t be able to fit 35’s without serious mods. Trust me, been there done that. If you’re willing to tub your firewall, have at it. Good luck kid.

I see you’re researching a 3” body lift, that will help but look like absolute shit.

35x12.50r17’s with 2.5” lift, wheel spacers, solo lca’s with 6.5* caster and a ton of trimming/hammering:

I don't think you'll find many 1st Gen folk here using diff drops, but hey, maybe I'm wrong. Some guys on here are running 3", 3.5" lift with no diff drop, it just wasn't necessary, although other things helped with articulation (ext. boots, bushings).

From what I've seen, once you start getting up to 3.5" of lift, you're maxing out the suspension as-is, and it's f'ing up other things. At that point, bracket lifts start entering the picture.

It's bad form IMHO to mix spacers with suspension lifts, just like I'd never lower with blocks. Just pony up and buy a bracket lift, or turn it into a suburban brodozer with a body lift. Solely my opinion from seeing what others have f'ed up and the damage it's done.

But really, what I'm saying means nothing. What you probably need to see is ^^^ up there. If anyone can speak to the point, it's the dude with oodles of direct experience who's been there, done that, and scaled back.

Okay what about a 285/75r17 which is like 33.8 and 11.2 with 2887 springs in the front. Or a rear total chaos drop shackle and stay same tire size just want it more leveled and bit lower the 3/4 would make it look a lot nicer

Once you start rolling over that 33" mark, you're in territory not many have gotten into. There are a few folks on here that have been running 34s, 35s. You just saw one of them above. I can think of a couple others. Those are the dudes I'd be talking to about what you're looking for.

I guess my big question, and maybe theirs also: What is your end goal? Specific terrain? Crawling? What's your expected percentage of that versus on-road stuff? Or is this purely (or mostly) for looks alone?
