So truck was working fine, parked and when I started it up 4lo was blinking and truck was not in 4lo. I tried a few things, turn off/on, put in neutral shift to 4hi-2wd-4hi. Nothing, 4lo still blinking. So I drove home, 10 miles with it blinking. Smooth no reverse or forward issues. Shut off overnight. Started up to go to work, 4lo blinking light off and I park the old girl for the day. Start the truck to head home and 4lo blinking. I drive home, no issues truck nice n smooth. At home I put in 4hi, feels and drives as it would in 4hi but the 4hi light not on but 4lo is still blinking. What the fudge. Ever happen to anyone. It’s 2007 5.7 182k

    Function before sparkle.
Can you confirm that the truck will go into 4Low?

If it isn't engaging 4Low, review this: https://www.tundras.com/threads/4wd-wont-engage.124426/#post-3187424

If it is engaging 4Low but still blinking but no other lights (no ABS light, etc), it's likely brake or speed sensor. If you have access to a code scanner there should be something stored in memory that you can pull up. But first, try cycling through all of the transfer case modes while in neutral and standing still. Do it a few times.

That's just your truck telling you it's time to go wheeling. I'm told these trucks are tempermental about using 4wd frequently.

Also dirty battery terminals, old batteries and speed sensors are common issues. Is your VSC light doing anything?

I can not confirm, I do know it’s going into 4. It drives smooth and turns easy, when I switch to 4hi I can feel the difference. Battery clean, no other lights on.

Update, today I started her up and no dash lights came on. Drove about 5 miles at 50mph and the CEL came on. Truck runs and drives fine. These dash lights suck and the truck is 16 years old, seems like when something gets fixed something else gets tweaked.
