Good day all, thanks for the add to the group.
I am in the process of upgrading my Tundra Non-JBL system. The following items are being added:

    JL Fix 86
    JL HD600/4
    JL HD1200/1
    C5 Rear Speakers 2 Way
    C5 Front Speakers 3 Way
    JL Stealth Box 2xTW3s

I am new to car audio and have searched a lot on the web including this forum but have not found what I am looking for and appreciate any help.to start off I have a couple of questions:

    1. The Non-JBL system signal prior to the stock amplifier is full range, is that correct? I know the JBL version amplifier prior to the amplifier is not as it receives all indival signals and they are summed. If it is correct about the non-jbl system I am safe to eliminate it from the system. Make sense?

    2. Does the signal include tweeter frequency or do I have to tap into a tweeter line somewhere?

    3. The JL Fix86 has 8 inputs, I assume that I would only use 1/2 and 5/6, 1/2 for the front and 5/6 for the back signals. If the signal that goes into the stock amplifier is full range there is no need to use the tweeter inputs. Does this make sense?

That's all I have at the moment but once I start the installation I'm sure the confusion will begin. Thanks in advance much appreciated.

    1. I would think its full range. From what I understand, the amp controls the processing but I could be wrong. It would make sense that the full range goes directly to the amp first so you would be safe to replace the amp with no loss.

2/3. If the signal is full range then I would think there's no need to tap a wire. It should work the same as having component speakers on the rear inputs (Inputs 5/6 on the Fix 86). I would agree with using inputs 1/2 and 5/6.

Are you running new wires from each amp to the speakers?

Do yourself a huge favor and install a new head unit to run all that magnificent stereo equipment.

Agreed. Then there's no question on the full range audio.

Nice setup. Make sure you get the DRC knob for the fix, or you will have to set the gains for the fix using your laptop.

I ran some of the same equipment for some time (stealth box, c5-650, hd900/5....)

I believe you are correct on the inputs, and yes they are full range. The dash tweeters are powered by the head unit (not 100% sure on a 2020, but they are on 14-17), I would recommend just disconnecting them.

There's a link to my build in my signature that has lots of pictures.

Where are you going to put the 4" mids? Not sure they will fit in the corner dash location.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hey Danimal86,
On the same subject do you or anyone else know what the factory entune unit puts out for max speaker line voltage to the factory underseat amp.

Wondering if anyone had as I recall some guys hooking DSP's up to the factory entune unit.
If I'm correct you ended up going with a new head unit?
Mine is the non JBL with under seat factory plastic covered amp.
    Now considering doing the same.
If I run RCA's from a new Kenwood HU to drive a 5 channel amp and use the autoharness plugs to drive the door speakers wouldn't the front L/R dash and center speakers be disconnected by default?
