New to the site guys and perused the mega thread on levels for awhile but didn’t see my answer there. I have a 23 CM L TRD that im using for work and have a slip tank and tool box in the back and carry around 700lbs constantly. Im using airbags in the rear and enjoying them but want to level the front and was wondering if it’s possible to change out the front springs with the Dobinsons 2” front lift 110-220lb spring and get my level? I work foresty and work the suspension so i’d rather not risk coil bind with a compression spacer. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Previous year tundras their site says needs shock upgrades but says nothing for the 3rd gen.

Don't quote me, but I believe you still need to change out the shocks. My understanding is the coil spring is too wide for the stock spring seat since they are designed for a larger shock body.

Ah see and that makes sense for the gen 2/2.5 as the springs for them say the need upgraded shocks but I did not see any mention of changing shock for the 3rd gens. Was curious if anyone is running them on stock trd. Thanks for the reply

Haha not a Forester, I run Feller Buncher in northern BC Canada. Some of the goat trails we get when cutting new blocks definitely give the suspension a good workout and yeah spacers are not a great fit for flexing trucks. I emailed Dobinsons and am still awaiting a reply. Thinking maybe I will just have to buy complete front assemblies. Just sucks cause I think the shocks were covered in my 200K km bumper to bumper

“I would double check with bilsteins since those shocks are made to be at the height the vehicle comes from the factory. Raising it will decrease travel a lot. i would highly recommend getting our shocks!”

This is the response I received when asking the general inquiries email. I would have thought raising with either springs or a spacer (like wescott) the same 2”, that there would be sufficient travel.. but I guess i”ll wait to upgrade complete assemblies at this point. They never confirmed if the springs would fit stock shocks (Diameter).
I guess im missing something about the lift springs since the rears are direct replacements but apparently the fronts are for???

Invest in a full kit- front coilovers, UCA’s, bump stops, rear shocks, rear springs and extended brake lines. Anything else is just a waste of money and time for what you need

    2013 4runner and 2022 Tundra SR5 CM 6.5" bed
4Runner: bilstein with dobinson coils front and rear, sherpa full length roof rack, diode dynamics fog lights, TDR pro wheels with Falken 275's. Tundra: Brand new and windows tinted lol. Factory rear air leveling system, advanced tech package.
Following and reviving a bit. I am in the same boat, i just bought a new (to me) 2022 SR5 CM withe 6.5" bed and factory rear air leveling system. I'm looking at bringing the front up just a tad but would like dobinson shocks and coils and in the rear just doing that link adjustment to get about 1" of lift so its not negative rake (carolina lean lol). looking for just a little lift so i can then get wheels and the tires but not stressed or do i care about running 35's or even 37's. This truck is not a build, its a family adventure vehicle and I want to keep it tasteful and clean. My 4runner is for building.
thank you for any help and for lift height recommendations in the front that wont reverse rake it.
