Alternator locked up, toasted the belt. Just happened today, so ,I haven't torn anything apart yet. My question is... looking on Rock Auto website, it has 2 choices. Denso 130 Amp or 150 Amp. Does it matter which one I choose? I don't have any extra electrical needs for 150...that I know of ? Price difference is less than $10. By the picture it appears to have the same bolt pattern for both ? I just don't want to buy the wrong one and have to return it.

Take the 150, your battery will be happier.

Tow package and cold weather package both have the 150A alternator along with the bigger 27F battery.

    Thanks Landphil.
    Mine has the tow pkg.
Watched several you tube videos this morning. NOT looking forward to the replacement job. Truck is 12 years old. Considering replacing the belt tensioner and idle pulley also..if I don't...you know they'll go bad shortly after the job is done.
