Silver Sky Metallic picture thread

My contribution to the Silver Sky thread. In comparison to some of the other great looking trucks on this thread, mine isn't anything significant, but what is significant is it's mine. Hah! I'm considering upgrading my exhaust to something that gives a little growl but not at the disturbing the neighbors level. My concern is drone. We'll see I guess.

He has all sizes to meet your inner 16 year old self if you wish. I ended up getting a 10” after talking with him. I pull a camper and didn’t want the drone either but I wanted something there to growl when I needed it. It came with a resonator you can put on the assembly to remove the drone but I felt it didn’t need it on my 2020. Check him out, easy plug and play

I love the system. Keith gave me his time, asked me what I do with the truck, i.e., off-road, tow and gave me his recommendation. Believe I’m mechanically challenged but even I was able to swap out with just 4 bolts to mess with. So easy. The sound is nice, just steady cruising and it sounds like stock, Feed the horses and she starts to bark. Wife accuses me of showing off at times, I can’t remove the smile on the face when I do

 

Hello! Glad to join the crew. I think the silver sky is the only color the chrome works on, but still looking to black out all. There’s some nice rigs on this thread.

Anyone had decent installs going from cloth to katzkin leather?

 

2020 I picked up in early October. Low miles (15k) but had some scratches on it. Most were concentrated to the drivers side bed where I’m assuming it was from previous owner being in the trades and constantly grabbing or putting stuff in & out of the bed. Got a decent deal by pointing out all the exterior blemishes knowing I have a terrific detail guy to work wonders on the paint. Finally was detailed today & it looks great.

 

Purchased my 2020 1794 a few months ago. Already added the Lomax bed cover. gator floor mats & some JL 10's to improve the low end. Next on the upgrade list is shocks & struts to level it out & maybe a set of new shoes.

 

Here’s my ‘18. LOVE this truck. Just put some new shoes and a leveling kit on her last weekend and immediately hit some trails in McCurtain Co. Oklahoma. Really impressed with how well it handled itself.

I told myself I wasn’t going to modify extensively…
That will change now that I got a taste of the trail. Going to have to connect with some folks that know what they are doing and where to do it and start making some camp/off-road trips!

LOVE the bronze/gold wheels. I’ve found a style I want for mine, just waiting until next year since I just bought new tires. I’m considering dropping down to 18” instead of 20” to allow for a little more off-roading capability. LOVE the way that bronze pops off the silver!

 

Thanks everyone! I grabbed these lightweight 17” bronze wheels for $555 shipped on closeout from tire rack. I’m very happy with the look but I also believe that you can put bronze wheels on ANY color vehicle and they look good

 

A few exterior changes. Platinum grill & hood bulge, vinyl wrap roof & center section of hood. Black end caps should be here soon.

 

Hello, I have a 2016 SR5 DC Tundra Silver Sky Metallic.
I bought it used in 2019 it had 21,475 miles on it.
This is what it looked like the first day I had it.
I have done some modifications to it over the years up to now.
I will take a picture later and post it.
I had problems uploading the picture, so I had to delete then resubmit them.
The first will be Before. The second will be After.

 

Updates on my truck… added gorhino rb20, Lomax tonneau in black diamond mist, and Clazzio seat covers in black. Also debadged the whole truck. Loving this thing so far

 

For as much as I like to look back and stare at this thing, I don't have very many pictures!

Been lurking for a while but finally got my first tundra! 2019 SR5 Crewmax 4x4 with 19k miles purchased off my dad!

Already purchased some suspension goodies and 18” Method MR314. Pending tires and install!

 

clean! what is your suspension/wheels/tire set up?

 

This is an old setup of mine, but at that time it was a 2/1.5” lift with 295/70r17 general grabber X3s on 17x8.5 0 offset method 314s.

 

Bought this 19 SR5 Crewmax 4x4 from my dad a few weeks ago, only 20k on this odo! Installed the first mod, tints! Applied Lumar IRX all around to have the front match the rears and added 50% on the windshield.

More work scheduled for next Saturday for suspension work and to install some new shoes!

The tundra is my first truck and I’m in love with the platform, perfect for exploring with my family!

Is it just me or do the 2.5 gens look more silver and the 2nd gens look more sky blue??

Anywho, here's my 08 limited. Mostly debadged. All chrome parts replaced and paint matched. Matte black accessories.
