Just got a call from the dealership and I am picking it up Tuesday morning. Tacoma is almost ready to go, I did put the OEM wheels back on and now just need to take the canopy off.

Nice man. As soon as I saw the alert I figured it was you getting yours :D

Edit: Craaazyyyy... about 30 minutes after writing my latest comment. Toyota called and my truck is at the dealership. PDI early next week. I’ll go pick it up on Wednesday.

Picked it up today. Surprisingly all that chrome doesn't really bother me. I will get rid of the moustache and a rear bumper pieces but I really like the rest. Will take more pictures tomorrow.
Tacoma had a chance to pass the baton.

Since I am keeping the stock wheels (will just black them out and swap those center caps with TRD ones) I was going to go with slightly bigger than OEMs 275/70R18 Discoverers but ended up with 285/75 instead.

    Thanks everyone!
The wait is finally over. 13 months yesterday. Not as long as some but still. I'll have more to say later today.
Now let's see what @Stegosaurus437 will bring to the room

Got her home today. Ride is real smooth. I like the tow mirrors a lot. Still just taking it in, learning. No sign of any of the flaws people were seeing in ‘22s and some ‘23s so far.

I also received one complete key fob and the key only for the second key fob. There is no timeline for delivery of the second fob.

Same. Pretty well expected it, even though the sales guy never mentioned it throughout the process. I kind of wish he would have... but I’m not really worried about that because I was making an informed purchase and realized it was most likely. I figured at the very worst case, if I said nothing about it and ended up getting two keys, I’d be pleasantly surprised.

my dealer did tell me on my first date of possessing the truck that they have a late January purchase date customer who to their knowledge still doesn’t have the second fob.

Let’s write it on our letter to Santa this year. Might have better chances of getting the fob by Christmas from Santa than Toyota :p

PS - Matted and inthemud, what are your guys odometers at?

Just came home from visiting my local Toyota dealership and discussed the status of my Tundra with my buddy the Sales Manager. The truck is still slated to arrive by mid July and he said that he should have the VIN in the next 10 to 15 days. I also asked about 2 key fobs. He said only one and expect to expect the 2nd sometime in November/December timeframe.

Outside there was a black Limited TRD OR Crewmax just waiting to be picked up by the new owner. Strange thing it had a Undercover Flex hard tri-fold tonneau cover already installed on it so my guess the owner brought that in for Toyota to install for him.

Fairy tales, can come true, it can happen to you!

Just keep checking with your sales guy if you start getting ancy dogtruck. If I didn’t call mine the day I did, I very well might not have gotten the fresh crop of trucks to choose from that was offered. Not the truck I wanted/ordered… but I am happy with it!

The first one will be the Falken AT3W's. I decided to stay with the same size 265/70/R18's SL rated to keep weight down and use the factory wheels. I think the factory wheels with the black and silver finish fit the CSM Tundra pretty well, so why change them. After the tires are done I have nine more mods to do.

    • Go Rhino RB20 Slim running boards which I will have Line-X coated including mounting brackets and the underside.
    • Add matte black tailgate Tundra letters
    • Add red TRD front letters from Tufskinz
    • Talons Cat Protector
    • TRD front skid plate
    • Add 3M protective film to the door threshold sills
    • Replace the front black fog light bezel with the Capstone brushed chrome bezel to match the rest of the moustache o the Limited (not ordered yet but soon).
    • Add matte black Tundra front letters to the front fog light bezel
    • Undercover Armorflex tonneau tri-fold hard cover (Line-X top). On order right now, but delayed, estimated time of arrival week of August 7th.
After all of that I am thinking of the following:
    • VIOFO 4K HDR A139 Pro 2 Ch dash cam front and rear
    • Ecoological gap shield tailgate cover
    • Apply darker tint to drivers and passenger side windows
    • ??????? help fill in the blanks....

I really like to thank a lot of people on this forum for the ideas and suggestions that they have provided to me over these last few months. Knowing what works and does not work as well as seeing what modifications would fit "my style" of truck has been quite a learning experience. If I had deeper pockets the stuff you can do these trucks would never end.

That’s a great list. You’ll appreciate the window tint to reduce heat transfer through the glass. Be wary of the local laws regarding acceptable tint levels.

To help fill in the blanks…
    - Tufskinz Center Console Overlay in matte black removes the glare from the factory gloss black console.
    - Ceramic and/or PPF for paint protection.
