What's everyone's favorite/daily carry?

Ruger SR22. Might not be a popular choice but its not about bullet size its about shot placement. Plus its only 18oz. I also use Federal Punch.

 

I have one of those. Super fun to do mag dumps, and almost no recoil. As long as you tap the mag before loading it feeds beautifully.

 

Daaang. I should not have looked these up. How's it run? The DR920 looks nice.

 

It runs like a scalded dog! The foundation series from Shadow Systems is now cost competitive with a Glock Gen 5 MOS. The optic cut on the pistol makes it superior all by itself.

 

Stay at home dad with a 2-year old…just figured I’d keep it real - no cigars and whiskey for me. And yes, safety is top priority.

Any input on a G43x MOS vs P365 vs Shield Plus for conceal carry? I'm a Glock guy but the Shield Plus especially has caught my eye. My friends swear by the P365 though. I'm hoping to go handle them in person soon but was curious if anyone had some input or pictures of their setup. My number one priority is concealability.

 

My 43x (non-MOS) is my go to for concealability (especially w/summer or thinner types of clothing). Plus is has a slight beavertail to the back strap (not as much as the sig though) and a match grade barrel My only add-on was wrapping it w/a Talon Pro-series grip.

But, you are spot on in thinking your best approach is to handle both weapons and decide from there. Doesn't matter what any of us think; the gun should feel like an extension of you and manipulating it should be second nature.

Quality-wise, you probably can't go wrong w/any of those options.
But... it's interesting that the Sig and Shield Plus are both striker fired pistols; Hmmmm, I wonder where they got the idea for that design.

 

I agree about handling them both and finding what feels like it's almost part of you. For me that ended up being a Sig P365XL and I don't have any trouble concealing it at all. Unlike our trucks that are universally gas hogs...your mileage may vary.

 

I alternate between a Springfield Hellcat and a Taurus snubnose .38spl. I don’t shoot either one that well so they’re both belly guns for me.

 

Currently, the hellcat. Love the fitment, capacity and accuracy. Plus, in this Florida heat, it is easy to conceal.

 

Im a fan of full size Agency Glocks and TXC holsters. Good combo for me!

 

My favorite EDC is my CZ P-07. When I need something a little slimmer I don't mind the M&P Shield 9mm.

 

I've been carrying my late father's only defensive pistol lately; a Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II in .45 ACP. Only 8 rounds, but it is a wonderful shooter. The laser grips are off and the adjustment screws are stripped. Sent an email to Crimson Trace to see if they will fix them.

 

Same with my P365. But I love the ability to swap frames and slides and configure it for just about any carry need.

 

it’s always a 1911 for me

 

I'm in the market for a 1911...just can't seem to figure out which one I'd want. I've got a very old one from my father-in-law but I'd never shoot it, let alone carry it.

I'm liking the SIG P365. Well, what I've read and seen on the internet so far.

 

I'd give the p365 a hard look if I were back in the market for a carry gun.

I think if more people actually tried m&p shields, more would own them. Before the P365 was a thing, I rented a G43 and a Shield from the range. The Shield was a much better shooting experience even though it didn't say Austria on the slide.

I bought the shield, and eventually the m&p fullsize. Never looked back. The full size is excellent to shoot with an apex trigger. My shield has always had a decent trigger but that could be because it is the "Performance Center" model.

 

I love my 365XL but the one thing that drive me nuts about it is it has had 2 front night sights go dark in the 5 years I have owned it.
