Wheel damage -- degreaser

Help wanted! Is my TSS wheel ruined? If not, any advice on how to clean?

 

Oohhh damn, what degreaser was used?

 

Purple Power haha. I'm not sure why it was used to try to clean my wheel.

 

What I'm reading online says Purple Power shouldn't be used on automotive paint, glass or clear coat. I see success using it in certain situations and diluted but, man I wouldn't.

I'm hoping someone else can chime in with better news for you!

You can try using these 2 things.....

 

Only one? If so, maybe you could just use it for a spare??? There might be a phone number on the container of your degreaser and you might get advice on how to best neutralize the substance.

Main ingredient there is essentially a solvent for paint and polymers. This likely removed the clear coat off the wheels, possibly the paint, giving the dull appearance. I think you could salvage these using a 2k clear coat in a can, especially a gloss version (1ish can per wheel).
