Less dust on hood since ceramic coating it?

Last weekend I coated just the hood of my truck with CQuartz 3.0. and it seems there is a lot less dust collecting on it this week. It might just be in my head but here in AZ, there is always a lot of dust in the air, and by mid-week, the truck usually has a decent coating that can be seen. Maybe the ceramic is not as prone to static or is more slickery and the dust doesn't stick?

 

Not sure the reason, but I know it isn't slickness. The slickest product I've used is P&S Beadmaker....and it turns your car into a dust magnet. Maybe it's the hardness that ceramic coatings are said to improve?

 

Now the dust is collecting on the ceramic coating bottle sitting upon the bench or shelf in the garage.

 

Typically I have found ceramic will keep the paint cleaner longer. So it would make sense you are seeing less dust.
