Whats the benefits of those fog lights?

 

They look better. Brighter light. More contrast when using amber lenses for better visibility in less than favorable conditions.

 

My guy… how in the hell did you get the refund for tonneau cover? I sent in a case to Toyota HQ and they basically told me to pound sand. Also I dig the amber fogs

 

I channeled my inner male Karen. I like to call it Todd. (No offense if that’s your name just what I refer to male Karen’s as). I sent my stuff into Toyota HQ. Waited 48 hrs. Called Toyota asked to speak to a supervisor. Didn’t accept no for an answer. Called my dealership too acted completely insane until I got my result. And voila!!!! Check for $1295.

Speaking of cover refunds, I have both an mx4 and a x4s hard rolling. I haven't opened the rolling one yet. Does anyone have experience with both covers and prefer one over the other? The hard rolling looks like it might be more water tight, and my mx4 has had issues with sharp edges on the rubber seal.

 

Added a new badass viewing system to the truck called MTBS and definitely am over payload now with my special edition passenger seat.

It's a nice "expensive " cover. Always wanted one and think it will last forever. I got the switchback since I think I will more use from that style. The only thing I don't like is the clamps for the rear panel. Think they could have come up with more robust design.

exactly why i stayed away from every trim besides platinum. the beige/white carpet ceiling of the interior cabin is hideous. also, if i need ‘crawl’ mode to get outta some shit that my 4x4 can’t get out of, then i shouldn’t be in there w my $70k thousand dollar truck to begin with. the platinum has eveyrthing u want. checks all boxes. top trim hands down

 

blacked out the vents n miscellaneous chrome accents all over the cabin. super clean look. impossible to achieve on any other trim.

I disagree. I love the cream 1794 interior. I prefer the platinum badging and dark chrome and black trims, but I absolutely didn't want the black interior. I got a 1794, but swapped the wheels to the dark grey platinum wheels. I might eventually do the chrome delete, but it came down to I would see the inside more than I see the outside so I went 1794.

real talk: do the 1794’s come w the blue led ambient lighting throughout the interior of the cabin that the platinum’s have?

With the platinum wheels I got for $500 with only 120 miles on them. Sold my 1794 wheels with 3k miles for the same.

Going to put the ready lift 2" lift for AVS on it soon. Already did the s&b air intake and once afe has finished sorting the blue scorcher for hybrid it will be a beast!

 

Added the Heretic 20” light bar and wired it to the TRD light bar switch from Sparks on my Limited.

 

What was the process like wiring the aftermarket light bar to the OEM switch? I was under the impression the OEM switch worked off the CAN-BUS system.

 

You’re correct. The OEM switch is a momentary switch that interfaces with the CAN-BUS. I wired the switch to a bistable self-locking relay. I’ll try to do a write up with a wiring diagram to explain it better.

Yeah. I'd have really liked TRD OR package on mine, but, again I chose luxury as I couldn't get it with the electric running boards and step.

 

Not sure if its just the photo, that is one beautiful truck . How you liking that TRD step? I'm looking to get one from my local dealer but im hesitant
