Two photos here. First is engine running, switch on "Auto". DRL lights are on.
Second is engine running, "DRL OFF". All lights are off at this point. Parking brake not touched.

Schnazzy! Are those the headlights the truck came with, or did you upgrade to them? Could be a generational difference between yours and Seafury's.

    I'm sure its this.

But 2014 year was in my budget.

Wish I had saved up more for a newer model but I was in too big of a hurry to get out of my 4runner lol.

Are you running the OEM LEDs, or the older lights?

Yes, these were stock on my 2018 when I bought it new. I spent a couple of hours at the dealers going over every detail of the Tundras available at the time (January, 2018). I had carefully studied all options and the one I ended up buying checked all of the boxes (plus a few extras I didn't even know existed such as Home Link, integrated trailer brake controller, a few other cool gizmos).

Seafury, you are a crack up!

BTW, the DRL OFF switch is a good way to signal drivers, especially truckers wishing to make a lane change in my direction. Off, On, Off, On of the DRLs lets them know it is okay to move over. Better than flashing the high beams. It is also a wave to other Tundras coming my way in the day time with LED headlights to let them know we are in the same "club".

My lighting is all stock 2014 1794 edition except I put led bulbs in the interior because it was not good enough, now its blindly bright lol.

My DRL's are a strip of LEDS below the halogen headlights.

I think you meant to quote the blue 2018 model guy?

I was in a very unique situation, one that has not happened to me in the past and probably won't happen in the future. My beloved Aunt June passed away and left me an inheritance that was about what my 2018 ended up costing (including all of the fees). So I was sort of in the "driver's seat" so to speak. This will not happen again in my lifetime (I'm 73 as of today, will be 74 in August). I chose to make the move knowing that the 2018 will outlast me. As a part of this, I sold my trustworthy 2006 (that I bought new) to my daughter who is still driving it.

    It's all good!

Nope, I can see @Bergmen 's lights. I was meaning yours.

Since you're rocking the old ones an upgrade to the OEM LEDs with an @iHacker might give you the functionality that @Bergmen has on his. @iHacker would have to confirm if that's the case, though.

Understood, I see why you asked now, yes stock early 2.5gen headlights.

Yea I told myself no more mods until I pay this girl off, I never should have even done the lift I spent lots of money on and 10hrs of labor but I couldn't wait lol.

I will definitely be doing the LED headlight upgrade along with the rear eventually and other mods (Supercharger) once she is paid off

    Thanks for the good advice!

So just started the truck up and turned off the headlights to DRL off and everything went off except for the interior dash lights. Which are obnoxiously bright. If only…

Dash lights will always be on. You can adjust the brightness though.

One point that I have made occasionally in other posts is they seem to have solved the "cloudy lens" issue with the factory LED headlights. These don't "fog" over like all previous headlight lenses have done (including my 2006). My Tundra is 5 1/2 years old and the lenses look like new. Another advantage of going with OEM LED headlights.
