Will 18" rims fit a Gen 1 without any mods? It's a TRD which I "think" has a stock 1" lift....correct me if I'm wrong

    16"'s on there now.
Did the lug pattern change from generation to generation or are they all interchangeable?

1st gen are 6 lug, 2007+ are 5 lug. You can use current gen Tacoma/4Runner wheels on a 1st gen though.

It’s actually a good thing. 6 lugs are better than 5. Bummer if you if have some 18” readily available tho-. That said, if you’re ok with 16” or 17” Toyota OEM steel rims from almost any model, you can often find 4 in good shape for about a $hundred. Sell the 18’s you had in mind for more than that.

Technically the rim is the outer edge of the wheel assembly, which consists of the rim, spokes and hub… this can also include the tire as part of the overall assembly. I hope this totally derails OP’s topic and turns into another flame war though :bananadead:

Does it matter which Generation/Year the truck is or if that Generation truck doesn't even exist? :duel:

Absolutely. It’s just a matter of time before the first gen gestapo find us and toss us out.
