I was and then I dropped it off for them to repair it and gave me the run around again and wanted to service the Trans and at the end of the day neither happened. "Didn't have the paint and Trans flush machine was broken" 3 months later the Trans started puking out the vent tube- Ford was traded in shortly afterwards as they stated the Trans was almost 4 qts overfill?

When I bought my wife’s ORP the guy tried hard to sell me on the Pro 4Runner. He couldn’t understand why I thought the BP-51s I had for it at home were better than those Fox shocks.

Same here. I’ve got a random rattle from the passenger front door of my 2023 Raptor. Doesn’t do it all the time. I need to take the door panel off to see if I can find it.

Other than that, truck is solid. Very happy I chose the Raptor over the 3rd Gen Tundra.

Do not make the mistake to go Ford over Toyota.I did, kept my F150 for 6 months and traded it in for a 2023 Tundra. Had a 2017 Tundra prior to the Ford and should have kept that truck!

Now an XL "spotted in the wild" with my stock photo of the '21 again for comparison. Guessing not much happening with the motors so it's basically an exterior and exterior freshening to keep things interesting for another few years. "Take that strip of lighting from there and loop it over this way instead."

Only thing that Seems to matter now is what does the 2400 fewer parts mean. Hopefully will get a chance to look one over close when I'm in for my December oil change. I feel like my Powerboost's dash and sceeen layout is so user friendly considering all the capability baked into it that it's hard to see how they could make significant changes without screwing it up

Not terribly. Lost right around 2K in 6 months. I bought it in January with 6K on the ticker and traded it in last Friday with just over 13K. Couldn't get rid of it quick enough.

In all fairness happy as I am I can't dispute that 2021 was a generally crappy and recall heavy year. I don't know how I managed to only have 2 relatively minor ones apply to my vin. Seemed to be a lot of bouncing between whichever suppliers could produce parts in a given month the way many of the recalls break down into a couple months here and there.

With most trucks I keep noticing the front air dams getting bigger and bigger for improved fuel mileage, just look at the new non Pro Tacoma. I am surprised that Ford hasn't had a front air dam like Tundra that retracts. They are usually the king of gizmos and extra features and rarely beaten to the punch with reclining gear shifters and lay flat seats ect...

Maybe Ford understands how ugly those huge grills are. I was parked next to my buddys AT4 this weekend, competing with the Tundra for that “whale shark” look.

yeah the offroad trims dont have the front airdams much, and how Ford usually is the first to new gadgets and such, that was what my post was about.
But when it comes to big grills or any other design feature, ppl will say they love it or hate it depending on their preferred brand/current owned vehicle more times than not, then change on a dime when their brand or current vehicle goes the way of a trend. So since you brought up big front grills, is that Ford might come back to the styling they had not that long ago

They've had a retracting air dam since 2021, just not on all trims.

see, i learned something. My point wasn't a bash on Ford whatsoever. They usually come up with it first, or quickly adopt, like they did with side bed steps for super duty's which they copied off chevy HDs

Yeah my powerboost has a retracting air dam. If It ever gets pulled off by snow or anything it's probably not going back on. It's got the towhooks in the bumper then the fixed air dam, then the retractable one comes down even further below that. So seeing a truck with a prominent fixed one doesn't mean it doesn't also have the retractable one, at least with the Ford.

BTW They're Nice chrome tow hooks too.

I wish they could just make the whole
Damn thing retractable to give me all that approach angle but I guess if it retracted directly from the bumper it would interfere with the frame or tow hook area.

You can debate this topic forever, but the Ford will outsale the Toyota roughly 10:1. The Ford is the king of Trucks and the most popular selling Truck in America. With that said, the parts in the F150 due to constraints from the UAW suppliers are complete and utter cheapest china stuff you can find. I mean who puts a plastic sunroof frame into an 80k truck? Ford does that is who, unless you plan to keep the truck for 50-60k miles and dump it then the F150 is not a wise choice. You will have many to a lot of little problems with the Trucks over a long time ownership of the truck.

Not for lack of trying. But there is a place near me that upfits fleets and they did have a field full of SRs a couple weeks ago.
