    2020 tundra ,2 months new to me.I was in the vehicle customization setup menu for the doors and now my key Fob isn’t locking or unlocking.(I do get the red light on the Fob when trying)Door handle works fine for lock and unlock.Any ideas before I take it to the dealer? Tried a new battery in the Fob no help.Turned off the auto on the bed light also.

    There is a FOB reset. I’ve seen the thread around here somewhere but it was something like holding the lock and unlock buttons down for 5-10 seconds. The truck gives you the ability to disable the fob so no one can steal its frequency, and the way to enable it again is something similar to what I just described. Let me know if that helps

    Check out page 141 in the owners manual, see if that helps you out?

    Good luck!

    Thx Dukhnt, will do.Also found a old thread last night that was pretty much identical to what my issue is. The Op never posted what fixed it but a couple of guys told him his battery might be going bad.Pulling my Battery to get it checked, will see.

    Battery tested good, checked the owners manual still nothing. I guess my Fob could of gone bad, but with it still working with the door handles kinda weird.

    No I’m fairly positive you have kicked it into that safety mode. Man I really wish I could remember where I saw that. I promise I’m still looking!

    Yeah I have used this when Iam work when my Fob lock and unlock was working. When in that mode u cannot use your door handle to unlock u have to press the Fob.Iam in the opposite situation where the Fob is sensing the handle but the lock and unlock don’t work on the Fob.Thx for looking up that video for me though.

    At least on a Tundra you can't commit the double oil filter gasket sin. I did it once on a F150 and learned my lesson. I had a trail of oil all the way down my driveway after backing up.

    @Silver 1794

    did you ever figure this out? I’m having exact same issue with my 21 1794. Key fob buttons are not working after changing some door lock settings. Proximity features on the door handle and push button start still works. Tried changing key fob battery, resetting ECU, manually locking/unlocking all doors. This happened a week ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Also experiencing same issue with key fob not unlocking or locking after messing with door lock settings on a 2020 1794. Remote start still works though, so that is odd.

    I had a Carista OBD programmer and went in to the settings on my tundra. I was able to turn wireless fob to on. It is now working again. Carista does require a subscription to do this. First time users may get a free trial. If not it’s $10 a month.

    Alright, I'm having the same issue with my own fob... read this post, got a carista, cannot figure out where I turn the fob "on" in the app. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2021 Toyota Tundra Limited

    I'm having the exact same issue. Changed door lock settings a bit on the menu screen, door lock and unlock doesn't work on fob but am still able to remote start. Any other fixes out there, other than the carista?

    Fixed!

    Thank you @twodollarblue

    I had the same issue, changed the door lock settings and the key fob no longer worked. Purchase the carista OBD based on feedback earlier in this thread. You'll have to purchase a 1-month subscription which you can easily cancel but that allows you to 'unlock' the functionality on the app.

    Pro Tip: There is not one setting to turn the key fob on and off. There are three separate settings. Panic button enable or disable, lights flash when unlocking enable or disable, and beep enable or disable when unlocking. I toggled all three of these features to enable and my key fob worked again!

    Hope this helps!
