5100 bilstein shocks. Witch setting?

    Well... I have it set on the middle slot, the ride is solid, but it seems to hit hard on small bumps. Not sure if I should gp through the trouble to
    change it to the lower sslot.

    I don't have them but my understanding is higher makes it worse.

    I have mine on middle with .5” shims. Sits level and the ride is good.

    Bilstein 5100s, 285/70R17s, Tuff Country rear add-a-leaves, Rough Country rear bumper, Rough Country CAI, Dirty Deeds Ind. straight pipe kit, Ironman Raid front bumper, 13k lb. winch, Leer topper, custom rack, Decked bed drawer system, AuxBeam fogs, Midland CB radio.
    I just had mine installed at the highest setting and the front fender level went from 37 3/4" to 40".

    The ride is stiffer, but I'm hoping when I install the 285/70/17s tomorrow, it will soften it up.

    But, I've never been sensitive to ride harshness.
