Because Covid

 

Most the jalopies round here dont even have plates.

 

Long before that around here...We passed a very large tax increase in car tabs about 5 years ago and it started then. The whole front plate issue started IMO with Tesla owners and now everyone is following suit. But Covid did make it much worse.

 

I hate the look of a front plate. I understand the ‘necessity’ but on vehicles that don’t have a spot I never drill into a nice bumper and install a bracket unless I get pulled over for it. Which I’ve only had happen once but probably cause I was a young punk driving too fast.

 

So I was deleting random emails and I came across this one. I know it's not Tundra-related, but it could be a good start for someone like myself who can't . @reywcms check this out.

Floated Yakima river this weekend. My oldest got her first bass! She was so excited.

 

Hitting bdr route 5 with a group going to overland expo. I’m just joining to run the trail all be it at a slightly quicker pace than the others. If anyone’s around sisters this afternoon let me know.

 

Driving the BDR is on my list…just cannot find the time to even start researching and planning!

 

Someone sent me the maps for that the other day. I was chuckling at the Idaho one because I grew up driving The entire northern stretch of it.

 

Just got back home. Awesome time truck was working today. Felt great to get in the driving zone. Did about 200 miles offroad in about 2.5 hrs with stops for my baby bladder. Left the group I was with behind.

They didn’t do the full run and were 1.5 behind. New blower is night and day different in the dirt. The trq is ridiculous. Earned a few more stripes today as well.

 

I assume you were driving the WABDR…I didn’t realize it was that open for high speeds. I got the impression it was more technical.

 

There’s definitely technical areas for sure and also some very large whoops. And correct the WABDR Section 5 reverse and added a few more loops to the mix while I was out. Good mix of technical and fast parts when you could see

 

Long travel probably helps negate some of the technical areas.

 

Absolutely does allow you to really roll over the bigger rock gardens and holes faster. It’s more harsh going slower honestly

Stock tundra exhaust
Stock Washer fluid tank

That looks like it rolled with the roof smashed in like that. Pretty bad accident.

 

Removed the OE style steps that came w/the truck and did some of the prep work on the frame for slider install

Edit: They are listed for sale in the marketplace in case anyone in the area is interested in a set of steps/nerf bars...

I noticed that too where we camped the past week. Not a lot of new Fords…

 

I’m on vacation but made time to get some Lucas gear fluid and went to the dealership to pick up a few o-rings for the transmission fill plug haha. Wife was not amused

Little mt hood staycation for the old ladies birthday. Of course snuck away early to go rip a few trails before everyone’s up.

 

Looks like a perfect weekend. I’m sending mine away for her birthday.
