Does that mean celestial is next?

 

I'm waiting for Celestial Silver too.

But why does the price jump up to $399?

 

I have no idea what the paint schedule looks like.

Because we have to paint them, they don't come out already colored.

 

Any plans in the future for us Mesquite folks?

 

Hope yours turn out better than mine..they say absolute black which is the same as midnight black...which is not...the seller won't and can't resolve this issue...take a pic of it in sunlight..you'll know what I'm talking about..they are still trying to resolve my issues...but best is 15% refund...f that...see attached photo of mine

 

Not cool. My Lunar Rock better be a color match or I'll lose my mind. If I pay for a color (lets say black) I expect it to be black (not purple).

 

Exactly....that's all I want and the seller is being stupid...not trying to put them on blast..resolution not made yet..still waiting for outcome

 

I'm not claiming I am having an issue look at the pictures..it's even worse in person...I'm just trying to get resolution and informing others of possible same issue with non matching product....

 

Color match? That’s a completely different color. Ouch.

 

I saw your other thread about this. Based on the other folks posting pictures, I'm hoping this is a one-off mess up and that the seller will make this right.

 

Tell me you didn’t stick it on? If you did, that’s on you! Their instructions are very clear, test fit, and don’t pull off the red tape, so that you can return if there are any issues.

 

Midnight black is the same paint code as Attitude Black. Where did absolute black come from?

 

Then we won’t have a problem, will we?

You guys waited a long time for it and we want it to be as good of an experience as possible. There are inevitably some things that come up with every new product no matter how much testing and preparation you put in. This particular one is a little surprising since we have been using this exact material for all our attitude/midnight black parts for years, and this is the first we've seen with a match discrepancy like this. That is why I wanted to give you a call in particular so I can figure out what might be different in this exact circumstance.

As a reminder for all others receiving a color-matched part, whether it is this particular color or any others, please check to make sure you are satisfied with the match before attaching them to your vehicle. Color matches are notoriously difficult, and are almost never perfect because of the variability of the factors involved. For reference, we use Toyota's prime color code on all our color matches.

Well, just ordered the Supersonic Red. Hope that is a 95% plus match or better than the vampire Red wrap from 3M.

And I'd love another update on LR. From a previous post, it sounded like I would've gotten mine by now, but order status hasn't changed since I ordered 4/9.

 

He said "No promises, but maybe ny the end of the week? Early next week. We still have Bulks to do.

What's your order number?

He got a bit sidetracked by other even older orders that aren't 3rd Gen Tundra, LR and AG are in his "bulks" that are mentioned above.

There are 4 more people in front of you and I'm not sure what's getting polished and brought to the shop this evening.

You've got a little bit longer to wait. Lunar Rock is one of our most popular choices. But the painting should occur sometime this week or next week on more of the "bulk" colors. So AG and LR are on that list

I'm sorry it's taking much longer than we anticipated. We got way more interest in painted-to-match than we expected

 

And unfortunately, there's no quick and easy solution. It took us MONTHS to build our paint booth thanks to all the red tape we had to cut through, and due to that, we can't just hire a second painter.

 

I assume blueprint is still a ways out? (Order cs1986 if that helps)
