Just realized while talking on the phone over Bluetooth only my drivers dash speaker is working, not the door. Dash speaker is crackling also.

Ran through the fade and balance settings and discovered right rear speaker is silent and drivers door is silent.

I have an identical spare OEM head unit. Swapped it in and same problems.

I’ve noticed over time that I’ve had to turn up the volume more, but I chalked that up to me getting older. I often ride with all my windows down.

I’m no audiophile by any means. I’m guessing I’ve blown some speakers over the years and didn’t notice it.

Has anyone had any wiring troubles that caused this? Or should I just assume the speakers are slowly dying and it’s time to replace them all?

    * I’m fine with the sound quality of OEM, I m not that picky. Any brands out there that compare to OEM without the OEM price tag?

Pioneers are pretty decently priced and will even sound better. I believe Crutchfield or Best Buy has adapters so that you can plug into the factory wiring.

I’m going to give crutchfield a call tomorrow after I verify it’s not a wiring problem. Im going to swap out all the speakers.
