I have 2 small pressure washers 2000 psi and such. I would like one to run a surface Cleaner on the driveway and such and to use an xjet on the sides of my house...which is tall as a 2 story. I would like to stay under a grand. I read where GPM is the most important....what is the least amount you all would recommend. Thanks

Northern tools sell “Cat Pumps” pressure washers mounted to Honda engines. They are high quality and various psi/gpm options are available. Mine has a selection of 4 quick change nozzles from 0 degree (straight stream) to 75 degree (flat fan spray). Note that most light industrial power washers come equipped with a pressure unloader, often referred to as a regulator to adjust the pressure from tap pressure to whatever the pump is capable of pumping out. The unloader does not adjust the flow. That is a fixed amount subject to the pump design. I choose a 4 gpm/4000 psi pump to clean my concrete driveway - no cleaner needed, and I used to power wash caked on oil & grease off of engine blocks prior to rebuilding. For what you have described, I would look for a 3000 - 3500 psi pump that operates on about 3.5 gpm. There are many other quality pumps available, but I used to work at Cat Pumps, in Blaine, MN so there you go…. Good luck.
