I’m new to owning a Tundra. I picked up a 21 limited 5.7 2WD with the TRD off road package. I noticed the drive is very…”flexible”? Every bump and crack gets absorbed by the shocks, not a bad thing as that’s their job, however is it supposed to feel a little..bump? Jumpy? Bouncy? I have had bilsteins on before and don’t remember so much flex in the suspension.

You'd have to check a few things - one, are they still the "Off-Road package shocks" meaning they're the blue & yellow Bilstein 4600's? Two, is your front swaybar still installed/connected? Three, do you have the TRD rear swaybar installed?

No swaybar connected or installed will certainly allow the individual suspension parts to articulate by themselves freely - but you'll feel pretty floaty around the corners.

The TRD OR package is still a pretty cushy ride on these trucks. Not sporty for sure. If you prefer a little stiffer ride, upgrade to 5100 or 6112. They will ride with more control or firmness.

Wouldn’t you know it I went and looked under the truck. Yes it has the billsteins but no it doesn’t have a front or rear sway bar. I guess that would be a pretty obvious reason she’s bouncing and swaying like a sail
    Boat. Good looking out

TRD Off Roads specifically did not have the sway bars for better articulation.

They all have the stock one, but it's not super stiff. I just assumed he was talking about it not having the TRD (red) sway bars. Entirely possible the previous owner removed the stock one as well.

It is crazy how plush the stock ride is without a front sway bar. The swaybar acts like a shock absorber

Nope. The only one that came with a rear sway bar was the TRD Sport. All the others it was an accessory you could buy.

You dont have a front at all? If its missing and the dealer advertised it as a feature of the truck (depending on what fact sheet they printed out) maybe you could hold then to it

Doubtful. If a previous owner removes the airbags and you buy the truck; the dealership will replace them, but not for free. They are not responsible for anything the previous owner did to the truck.

I’m gonna talk to them about it and see what they say/do if anything. I do have a front sway bar(it was hidden a bit when I looked under the first time) just not the rear. Worst case scenario I buy and install the rear trd version. That being said the front has some pretty significant squeaks when I’m cruising.

They will sell you one. That's it. That trim doesn't come with a rear sway bar, so you're not actually missing anything.
