Ooooh I hate to hear that. I am sorry for that loss. Especially in today's truck environment.

Won't stop a repo/tow truck thief, however, there is a way to lock the tranny in park with a hidden switch.

If someone takes a rollback or wrecker into an airport parking lot or garage, nothing will stop that theft.
In the meantime, educate yourselves on the fuel pump lockout. Your truck might avoid theft.

That is really unfortunate. Hopefully you can replace the truck in time for camping season!

They do and they did. However, they only have a shot of my truck coming in. Nothing going out. Pretty easy to get around that anyway. Just take the plates off or swap them with another. They didn't have any other clear views of where I was parked. At the end of the day getting footage of anything at this point is irrelevant aside from maybe catching them, which I would love to do. However, I suspect they are at a level where these details are already thought of and dealt with. Not their first rodeo so to speak. I just have to accept that she is gone. Just hope I can get a '22 soon enough to recover some of the season.

    Cheers all!

My truck is already secure. Fuel pump lockout doesn't allow winter morning warm up, tranny lockout does.

Sorry to hear about this, little late for this. You can always buy an apple airtag and throw it in your truck somewhere.

Sorry OP. I get that your mov9ng on and trying not to dwell. Good on you.

That said..... Why buy a 22 when you can get another 20 or 21 with low miles?

Damn dude, I swear that lot is the worst , I'm convinced it's insider job, 3 people I know had their cars stolen from Pearson secure parking, and conveniently they cannot provide camera footages of when the car left.

    This is awful

I am so sorry OP :(
    I would be absolutely devastated.

This is why I am against keyless ignition and fobs, period :censored:

Fuel cut and/or tranny lock are almost must have's these days as things are getting worse almost everywhere.
    Just like with cat shields.

Maybe we should just trade our Tundra's in for armored tanks, they get about the same mpg anyway

Complicated but mostly comes down to cost. Here new vehicles are not allowed to be marked up so the price is MSRP. Used on the other hand is the wild west. A local dealer has my exact truck in another color with same specs and mileage and they are asking $63k!!! I can get a new one for $56k. I went a drove the only new demo the dealer had and the new one is really nice. Only downside of course is delay to get one.

Not sure if it would have prevented to thief, but referring to you #3 comment about the fob. You can disable it by pressing the lock button and while holding the lock button press the unlock button 2x, after release it will blink 4x confirming its disabled. Pressing any button will enable the fob again.

Much like the guys paying servers to swipe your card details, someone is probably providing lot attendants with a shopping list.

If you look around there are some 21 models around the country that have only a few hundred miles on them.
    Pretty much new.

When insurance pays out, are they going to give you a fair market value adjustment? These trucks are worth more than people think.

So sorry to hear this man I would loss it if it happened to me. Getting my window smashed and robbed was bad enough but at least I was able to get it fixed.

I see people talking about fuel cut and/or tranny locks ... where do I find these?

Well almost 15 months to the day and I finally got my new truck. Kind of ridiculous to have to wait so long but it is what it is. I will say these new trucks are gorgeous. My only complaint is that the cabin interior dimensions have shrunk a bit. We are a tall family so my son in the back seat is a little tight for headspace. Otherwise it is an amazing ride!
