Today I started my 2020 tundra in 60 degree wheather and saw a couple puffs of white smoke out the exhaust, it went away, I know this is normal with any cold start but is it normal in 60 degree weather?

Don’t make a mountian out of a mole hill. It’s probably just some condensation in the exhaust from sitting over night.

Yea I definitely saw allot of moisture come out of it, the only reason is was worried is because I know that can be a symptom of the engine running rich. I figured I was just paranoid but it feels good to hear it from someone else

Depends not on temperature as much as relative humidity. If it's real humid, it can be in the low 70s and you'll see the exhaust on a cold start. Nothin but steam, water vapor from the combustion process. And on a cold start, your A/F ratio is richer than when warm anyway.

    Normal.

White “smoke” is water. To see a few puffs lingering on cold start on cool mornings and/or in humid parts of the country is normal.

If you had unusual amounts of water as part of the combustion process, you’d know it. Think old steam locomotive:thumbsup:

True, also I’m sure it probably doesn’t help that the tundras have suck a high idle at start

    So.... What's the deal?

Did you end up buying the same 2020 that you posted concerns about the mileage and service records on a few days ago; followed by the metal flakes on the dipstick, etc... or is that a different truck??

Plus, we expect to see some photos of your new Pro....

Funny, I just had this happen to me yesterday.

I had a bunch of stuff in my bed that had slid forward after some hard breaking and because I didn't want to crawl on my hands and knees up to the front to get it I decided to go hard on the accelerator three or four times to make the items slide back closer to the tailgate :)

I did so then pulled right in my driveway to unload. When I started the car about 30 minutes later I had a huge cloud of white smoke.

My guess is hard acceleration followed by shutting off almost immediately left a bunch of oil in the PCV system.

    Too many, but not enough....
next time it happens get out and take a big sniff of your exhaust. If it smells sweet, its probably burning coolant. If it smells like nothing or like gas, then you are fine.

It was oil, not coolant. Windows were open lol
