Is it just one side of the light?
Just to get it off you can pull the dome fuse or the bulb..
Maybe the on switch is bad in the light.

Seriously, I'm not trying to be an ass, but did you push the button on the back side of the dome?? Some folks don't know there are 2 buttons back there cuz they've never been in the back seat...

If you have, my apologies; and then try what those other dudes said. Except the hammer thing, don't do that; it'll make a mess!!

Which is the dome fuse? I was trying to take the extremely hot bulb out, and it pushed it into the headliner area when I got it free.
    happy Father’s Day :annoyed:

A few... Definitely more than 2
Dome fuse is under the hood in the main fuse box for 2007-2018... 2019 they moved it to the interior box by the steering column which does make more sense but what can you do.

It is #23 on this diagram (https://imgvehicle.com/toyota/tundra-ii/fuse-box)

    I'm confused.
The title reads the light won't come on, the OP reads the light won't go off.
    Which one is it?

Did you recently replace the bulbs?
I'll pull it down and check the bulb connections as well as the circuit board.
Some of those board connections are really close together, make sure they aren't shorting out.

    didn’t do anything.
I pulled the bulb from the side that’s working fine, and as soon as I put it in the side that’s acting up, it came back up.
So something is causing it to stay on no matter what

Did you get this fixed yet? Its been a few days since the last post. If not, Id remove the lens and take out the light bulb first. Then, remove the whole light from the ceiling and double check the wiring and contact points. The contact points may have corrosion. Use a metal scrubber or scotch brite sponge and scrub them before putting the light bulb back in. If those are fine, then id look into buying new light bulbs. Since it’s also just one side, i would check the switch for that side. If it doesnt click when you press it, then something must be preventing it from doing so.

    I haven’t fixed it.
Not sure what else to try, so for now the bulb is out.
Thanks for the advise, I’ll try that this weekend.
    Hope it works

You can always resort to the wiring diagrams in the garage heading and electrical subheading here on the site. Seems to me like you have a faulty switch or contacts.

@1Tundra5 Ok, i just tested mine and the switch by the steering wheel does not turn off the back dome light when its on. It doesnt act as a kill switch. I would say your best test would be if the button clicks when you press it on n off.
