So I was in the process of taking apart my center counsel to run a wireless charger for my phone, and noticed that there’s a wire plug for the power mode/tow haul mode module. Now I have a 2023 SR base model, which does not have this module installed from factory. I was wondering if I just buy the module, what is a fat chance that it would actually work?

This has been discussed in some other threads. Lots of prewiring in these trucks, likely to cut down on harness variations which likely saves money. If the feature you’re missing also requires an ECU or module to go with it, then simply adding the switch won’t help. If the feature also requires information from additional sensors you don’t have, still out of luck.

Didn’t see the thread, thanks for linking. Will give it a try, found a module on eBay with drive and tow haul mode. The crawl control and MTS definitely needs its own module installed and ECU program. According to that forum you linked.

    Nitrogen filled tires!

? I have a 2023 SR5 and the specs show it having the tow package with integrated controller module as a standard feature - got me wondering if I actually have it installed and functional or if it was left off. Do you have the specs that indicate if the integrated module was part of the package?

Seems like you might me talking about two different things here. I don’t even have a brake controller module on mines like you do on your SR5. I did install it myself tho. It was plug and play . This is completely different from towing/brake controller. Apparently adding the switch to my model doesn’t do anything, SR5 users are reporting partial functions on their model

my bad - thought you had the SR5 model. So I now understand what you are saying and trying to do. Thanks. Hope it all works out like you expect. I am going to hook my camper up soon and see that everything works as it should. Fingers crosses.
