Vision Nemesis Machined: Talk me out of 'em

Just had these 111 Nemesis put on yesterday, after ordering from Summit Racing, and I had hoped the machined surface was truly muted from bright aluminum like the website pics show, and it is. The matte black rings now invite matte black side steps. I'm considering the APS iArmor step downs but would prefer something that's truly wheel to wheel. All I'm finding is N-FAB and Rough Country, which are both built on 2" pipe and look like you could easily break a leg on them. Worse, would be one of the grandkids getting caught in one.

 

What I just posted is stock, no lift. They are subject to rubbing the front, forward splash guard under just the right circumstance. Just put them on so we'll see. May have to a leveling kit on.
