Had the Gen 2 SAIS bypass kit from hewitt installed and didn't have any codes for a while. Winter came and I got the cold weather p2445 code but it came with the p1613 code. I expected this, but the codes are persisting now that it's warm. I understand I may need a pressure sensor and to flash the ECM to get rid of the p2445 code but what about the p1613? The Gen 2 bypass kit is supposed to delete the air injection control driver, so I wouldn't expect that to be triggering anything or would that be possible? If not, what else could it be? Wiring all looks intact, no water damage either.

I’m gonna tag @hewitttech @HewittTech01 in this post. Their cx service is top notch. I’ve got that kit installed on my truck too.

when you clear the codes with a code reader do they immediately come back or Just after startup? I’m gonna assume at startup since that should be the only time the secondary air injection would cycle

do you have a reader that differentiates between pending and set codes? My ultra gauge 2 will sometimes show that p2445 code but the truck never actually sets it

Thanks for the response and tagging hewitt. I was just typing a message to them. Looking back at my scan history, looks like the p2445 has only been pending for a few months but the p1613 is confirmed.

I had a kinda similar issue, I installed a gen 2 bypass kit and was good for a while then all of a sudden I got 1613 2442 codes, I replaced the air control valve and the problem was still there. I ended up plugging an oem air valve and haven’t had a problem in a few days no codes and no limp mode

Somewhat related . . . I installed a Hewitt Bypass kit on my 2006 DC last year.
The installation went well . . . no issues.
However I got a code popping up after a while. (can't remember the code number).
It was intermittent and would, and still clears itself. The truck has never gone into limp mode.
I'm still getting the CEL light on occasion . . . then it clears itself after a few ignition starts / stops.
I spoke with their customer service, (awesome by the way) and one area of concern was the amount of wire slack I left where I tied into the trucks harness.
I did leave plenty of excess, and I'm feeling that is where the problem is.
They indicated that it is a very sensitive system that works in 'micro-volts', so the extra slack could be the source of the bug.
    FWIW.

FYI i had a similar issue and after much trouble shooting and multiple calls with Hewitt—was starting to get frustrated, turned out the bypass kit was bad. They sent me a new one and truck has been good ever since.

I have an 08 4.0 Tundra and I have replaced the Gen2 Hewitt SAIS Bypass installed. I am now showing codes P1613 and P1614. Hewitt did replace the bypass kit and I am still pulling the same codes. Any thoughts on what to do next?

Update: I drove the truck this morning after I cleared the P1613/4 codes. Those same codes returned and new ones showed up P2433 and P2440. Limp mode also came back.

simutx: Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the EXACT same issue. Called Hewitt and they said to get the add-on pressure sensor replacement. I originally had the gen-1. I got the gen2 installed, and a few months later, I'm having the same issue as you. This bypass kit has been a major headache. I should've just replaced the pump and kept it oem. On the gen-1, my truck stalled 30 feet away from railroad tracks.

Between my FGT and GX470, I've had the HT gen1 and gen2 as well as RuTech and FireWaterMarine. Did you install the included purple wire to the starter relay as well as the block off plates? Many people skip these steps.

Yep, installed both. The Gen 1 was making the car unsafe, stalling everywhere without any warning. After 6 months of flawless driving, this Gen 2 is now throwing codes and going into limp mode every time I drive (P1613 and P2440). I will have the add-on pressure sensor installed this week. I hope this is the solution. I'll follow up in 10 days when the work is done.

Same issue here. I added the Gen 2 a couple of weeks ago and while I was on vacation last weekend it started throwing codes and going into limp mode in the morning (I get C1201 and P2440 Bank 1). I disconnected the battery and it would run all day fine, then throw the codes the next morning, presumably after running some test over night. I'm going to double check all the connections this weekend and I guess start calling Hewitt. The harness connections did not fill me with confidence when I installed it.

Reach out to Hewitt. They are on this forum, and we see a lot of people come here to ask us first, only to have Hewitt chime in asking why the customer didn't call them. Sometimes we get updates, other times we don't, but their customer support has been pretty good, even when it's an "idiot user" mistake, where they fail to follow the instructions, install the required blockoff plates, and similar.
