2014 Tundra SR5 4×4

I just replaced the drivers side rear bearings and I'm having major trouble getting the axel back in. Need an 1 1/2 more. I got it in far enough to make the other will spin. I took a measurement and there is like a metal bar or something in the way. Can someone help please
