The 1st week of ownership has been busy but I finally got to do rust prevention work.

Rinsed and wiped off the bolts, then applied blaster surface shield.

Rinsed and wiped off the frame welds, then applied por-15.

frames rust inside out imho; so I'd add soft lanoline based treatment inside frame

I think the frame definitely can rust from the inside, especially if you go through water crossings. Not sure how bad it could be if the grame doesn't get soaked in water or mud.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look for something. I just don't like how greasy lanoline is and attracts so much dirt.

Maybe I can just try a primer paint aerosol?

Before installing the cat shield, took off the TRD skid plate and undercoated areas of the frame that would come in contact with the skid plate and the cat shield.
