I have a Red Arc Liberty.

I tow a 6500lb camper with it and have had no issues. I like having the control of setting the brake force with the knob. Depending on the terrain and elevation changes, I play with it quite often. Otherwise on the highway it is always set to 5. (Knob setting is from 0-10) If the trailer brakes need to be applied immediately, you just press the setting knob.

Install was about 2 hours and very straight forward. Hardest part was finding a good location to secure the module to.

This would be a good replacement option if you can’t find anything to remedy your controller.

I recommend the Tekonsha P3 with the replacement dash panel that integrates it seamlessly into the dash in place of the OEM one. It’s all plug and play with a harness, and works so much smoother than the garbage OEM one. This is the one in my 2017.

I have the Tekonsha P3 and really like it. I have several different trailers that I tow on a regular basis and it allows me to have a different setting for trailer 1, 2, 3, etc. I really like that feature.
