    2006 Tundra Crew SR5
    Hi I'm Fred,
I am seeking information for the clearances of a rear axle bearings. I recently purchased a 2006 Tundra Crew Cab SR5 and the driver side had a gear oil leak. I pulled the axle and when trying to remove the bearings and ABS ring, I couldn't get the puller under the ABS ring as it seemed too close even though I removed 2 bolts first to have the needed clearance. In watching some Youtube videos prior to taking on the task, none seem to have this clearance issue. I was able to remove bearing and ABS ring after purchasing another type puller. I have my bearing kit to reinstall but I'm pretty sure the clearance left by someone before me is incorrect. I just saw on another account where someone said the top of the final bearing should only be 5mm from where the axle begins to reduce in size. I have a Haynes Tundra manual but can't find the clearances that I need.
I hope this request isn't too confusing as I may have not described it thoroughly. Any help is greatly appreciated and I am looking forward using to this forum.
    Thanks again,
    Fred
