IMG_3752.jpg IMG_3751.jpg Hello All new member here. Searched for answer on how to remove front diff drain on these forums. Bang on it, heat it, air chisel, etc vice grips. Well I tried em all except the air chisel. Don’t own one one. Was going to give up and then by the grace of God found the ICON 15 piece multispline extractor set ( Harbor Freight $39) Followed instructions in box. Center punch pilot starter hole in center of bolt, then started drilling with 1/4 inch drill bit and same size extractor. Finally able to get it out with 5/16 drill and extractor. This size really allowed splines to grip when turning counter clockwise to break bolt free.
New bolt with copper washer and anti seize on. Only torqued to 36ft/lb so far no leaked. Screw the recommended 49 ft/lbs. Hope this helps someone else as these diff bolts are a pita.

I had the same issue and ended up welding a socket to it, which is still there and works great!

I replaced mine with the Lexus part and it's visibly much nicer, haven't had to crack it open yet as it was only like 17k miles ago
