I'm thinking of adding the Toyota sway bar to my Pro. Comments about the effect seem very positive, and my wife has complained about the ride (which she didn't do in my 2014 1974).

My question is whether it will fit properly. The instruction sheet online says there are "Conflicts" with Toyota Genuine accessory towing hitch (resin bumper and steel bumper models).

    http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/PTR11-34070Einst.pdf

I do have a hitch on my Pro that was there from the factory. Maybe the conflict is only for hitches that were added after the factory?

Anyone know if I will have an issue? Thanks.

    Edit:

I've read through the installation instructions and they seem to take into account a factory installed OEM hitch where they include a new set of bolts for the frontmost hitch frame location that replace the existing ones and are used to mount the sway bar end links. I'm guessing I'm good to go then.

I have a 1794 with the factory pro suspension and had no trouble adding the TRD rear sway bar. Have the factory hitch …I don’t see way it wouldn’t fit
I made a huge improvement in the way it corners with the sway bar.

As you stated with the factory hitch you just need to replace those bolts.
I love my sway bar, but the only part of the 'ride' that it is going to improve is turning.
It will reduce body roll on turns and highway ramps at moderate speeds.
As far as going straight down the road, I don't feel it changes anything..

    Simple to install.
I'd recheck the torque on the hardware after a month or so..

You’re 100% a sway bar will help road manners on turns. Definitely worth installing if you’re not doing lots of off roading where a sway bar will hinder your articulation !!

Got the sway bar installed and so far I think it seems like a better ride. I did have to stop midway and turn the thing over since I had the bar upside down, but it only took about seven or eight minutes to undo it since I had not tightened everything up yet. Be aware that the TRD logo (sign) on the bar should be upright when looking from the rear. The instructions have a backhanded way of saying that that I misinterpreted as meaning "on top".

Be aware that you need a 22mm socket to tighten the bolts that replace the existing 19mm bolts at the front of the oem hitch. Those get torqued to 84 ft/lb so be aware of that too. In general, not too bad to install.

No issues with the install, and the ride is firm, just what I was looking for, added front sway bar, all works well with RAS, did brackets on the rear towards the back.

Is there a reason why you had to place the brackets to the rear, and have the bar sit in the middle of the Diff like that? Do you have a lift?

TRD PRO factory lift, Fox suspension, something was interfering with the brackets, trying to remember what, but I seen another, with the brackets tightened down in this direction

Was just wondering if you could get a better result if the bar was installed with the truck sitting on the ground instead of on the lift with the suspension unsprung. Here's my 19 with a factory bar for comparison. :notsure:
