I was in Missouri and needed a car wash after the bug war in Nebraska. I came out of the blowers and noticed a long plastic strip hanging down the driver's side. I know, I know, I didn't take a picture because the place was busy and I needed to move out of the way to see what was dangling.

The strip was still attached to the front of the roof by the windshield, but the back was not attached. I would assume that there would be some sort of 3M tape, but it was clean. The back end looked like it just snapped into a short piece at the rear. I inserted the long piece into the rear and was a bit nervous since there was a 2/16" gap remaining. I tugged on the piece and it didn't come off, so I left the car wash still nervous. Another 8 hours of driving with no issues.

With this trip, I am about 1,200 over my 36,000 mile warranty.

Any one else experienced this issue?

This is a common issue with the roof moulding when it comes to car washed. Let me find that thread.
