Black Window Trim - Broken from Sparks

Ordered a bunch of parts from Sparks to get rid of my chrome. All was good, except the rear, lower window trim. The little end piece that covers the gap was broken off on both of them (arrived that way). They weren't packaged in bubble wrap, just in a bag with one wrap of paper (barely thicker than tissue).

Took weeks to get the parts and only with my prodding.

Now they're radio silent on me. Pretty frustrating to say the least. Anyone have similar experience?

 

Sounds like my experience with them when they shipped my pro headlights with only some brown paper in the box to protect them. Arrived with broken tabs on both lights. Didn’t respond to my email so I called. The guy on the phone said online order issues had to be dealt with through email. I said screw it and filed a chargeback on my credit card. They called me back after that and set up return.

 

sparks went downhill when the guy who made them popular passed away. real shame that.

 

I bought mine last November but waited until a few weeks ago to install them. One of them was broken in the packaging. Also from Sparks

 

my local dealer took 6 orders to get a non broken piece of trim- they ship it from the warehouse to the dealer barely covered in a soft foam wrap...

 

Just installed mine last night, had the same broken piece. Ended up scuffing it and using gorilla glue. Hope it holds.

 

Damn. Not what I wanted to hear, but not surprised at all. The design is pretty lousy, to be fair. That connection point is way too thin and there's clearly enough tolerance for it to be wider.

That doesn't excuse the lack of packaging. Frustrating experience. Still waiting for sparks to respond... May need to get my CC company involved though.

 

Good luck. I eventually started using my local Toyota dealer for parts. Prices were close or same as internet deals most of the time.

 

Funny thing is, I had sound the parts for the same prices at other dealers, but went with sparks because they are mentioned here.
