BMS BOV adapter spacer

Surprised no one has made a thread about how terrible these things are.

Used them for a week. Had about 5 instances with issues between “low power steering” message, engine stutter and engine completely shutting off/on. No hard driving at all.

Used them with 1 set screw and sound is barely noticeable with windows up.

Save your money.

 

Did you install any other BMS products ?

@eddiefromcali was posting about stalling & DTC lights popping on his dash with the BOVs back in Sept. I'm sure he's got quite a bit of insight.

 

I had 1 or 2 instances where the truck stalled but I don't remember any DTC lights. Once I plugged all but one of the vents, the truck drove like normal. I think the truck stalled on me before the recall/tsb for stalling when coming to a stop was even released too. People don't realize that it'll take some trial and error with these plates to get them to work. And yes, they are not super loud but you can definitely hear them.

 

Good thing I didn't buy the one in the classifieds, sux for that new owner

What ok, all I see is op reporting a issue and your post #5 literally supports his op #1.

What message are you actually trying to convey?

 

Why would you want your truck to sound ricey?

 

I have them on my truck now but looking to take them out. However, the factory DV screws went Houdini on me and are apparently on a national backorder. If anybody with this mod that doesn’t plan on taking it out lmk.
