I've had my 2022 Platinum for 16 months and 15,000 miles. It is my 4th Tundra and drives very well.

A few times a week the cargo bed light and tailgate light will stay on for at least 30 minutes. Locking the doors does not make the light go off.

My android auto recently (and spontaneously) reverted to a previous version (went from new split screen to old single screen) after about 3 weeks it popped back (Galaxy S22 ultra phone). No changes to the truck or the phone before during or after.

Back seat alert system has been turned off but comes on most times I start the truck and a couple of times a month it messages my phone.

There is significant hesitation on initial (rapid) acceleration which is disconcerting.

To top it off the side door trim molding is starting to come off on all 4 doors.

I bought my first Toyota in 1992, LandCruiser for $27,500 and have driven Toyotas ever since. This is the first i have had issues with.

It has been back to the dealership about 6 times. Yesterday I called my saleslady and asked her to get me a 2024 when they become availabe.

Sorry to start my tenure here with all the complaints but would love ant input.

The cargo light/ bed light, have you checked the switch on the lower left of your dash to make sure you don't have it in the on position? sounds like it is timing out and turning off, could possibly be a switch in the tailgate that is misaligned / loose connection and the truck thinks that the tailgate is open

The android auto split screen is controlled by google, they probably had it enabled for your region, then took it down to fix something and then put it back up

my backseat stuff has also been turned off, every time i start the truck it shows the 3 seatbelts for the back on the dash, but the only time it pops up "check back seat" is if i open one of the rear doors and then go somewhere and shut the truck back off, never had mine message my phone though

have you had the TSB's done for the pop/clunk and/or the hesitation on acceleration done? there is an update for the computer that has solved the same issue on my truck

i don't have a plat with the side trim, but it peeling off is a well known issue, doesn't seem like Toyota picked the best tape to attach them with, these should be covered under warranty, there are numerous threads here about the issue.

You were right about the dash switch look like last time I cleaned it I flipped it to on. Thanks!!

It has been "recalled 2 or 3 times and back another 2 or 3. Next time it goes in I will ask about the "pop/clunk"

I've not read through all the comments. But I know if you're BT to the radio, it'll ask if you want to keep "driver setting" I've customized settings for myself and if you select to not load my settings, everything is back to default or whatever the other "driver" was set to.
