Couldn't find this exact issue so I wanted to reach out.

Climate control knob will "slip" from say off to 1 or from say 3 to 4. With a bit of a wiggle it will go back to its respective blow speed but as I drive I'll hear it turn up or or down, blowing more or less than the selected speed. Is this a tightening issue of the knob or a potential electrical issue that could be more of a pain in the ass.

It's not a huge deal but I want to replace to head unit soon so idk if I need to fix something else while it's pulled apart. Any help is appreciated

It might be possessed... LOL, jk... You will need to pull that panel off anyway, odds are if you're not the first owner the previous owner pulled, or tried to pull those knobs off and damaged it. If you're replacing the head unit, make time to go to the hardware store or auto parts store to replace the plastic behind them, if they're replaceable.
