In the latest escalation in hipster warfare, I saw a manbun driving a 1980’s era Mercedes right-hand-drive ambulance the other day. Complete with two classic giant red emergency lights on top.

The Toyota Hiace is officially old news people.

 

I like some of the features they added/made available like standard LED lighting, terrain modes that work in 4Hi and Lo, and that the rear springs have two options. I don't care for the headlights. I may be biased, but I think the 3rd gen looks better. Kinda disappointed with the powertrain options, too. I don't want anything hybrid and the non-hybrid doesn't get much of a boost over the current setup. Hard to say how it would compare without actual dynos of both 3rd and 4th gen to see the torque/power curve instead of the usual peak numbers that are always marketed. I hate that about the vehicle industry. Pure bullshit numbers that have very little value.
