Tranny cooler, regear with E-locker, then supercharger. I’m trying to get my facts and pricing straight. Does harrop or Magnuson come with everything you need ? Is a tune required ? I’m not trying to blast crazy horsepower I just want to supercharge my truck cause I do but I’m more of a DIY guy.

Yes, everything included for install and to run. We who have superchargers always recommend a tune over the included tune. This optimizes it to your vehicle.

I'm in the same boat, I have my truck set up how I want it done so now I'm thinking about a Supercharger. I've read all the posts on the board that I can...seems you will need to get larger injectors 650 to 750 ,larger fuel pump, different plugs and a tune...would also like recommendations for who to take it to for installation

Those are only needed if you're wanting more boost. If not the pumps, injectors that come with kits are fine.

Nope as long as it all comes with the kit I’m good. I might get another tune later for my truck. But was my question that I can 100% order this kit and do it myself excluding a specific tune

Would like to be versed enough to do an installation but that's Way above my pay scale

Yes, that's what I did. Install is easy and straightforward with thorough instructions. The Magnuson kit comes with everything you need. The Harrop and Whipple come with enough stuff to get the truck running, but are missing some components that are arguably required (example, the Magnuson comes with larger injectors and while you can get away without larger injectors, it's usually advised to get them and the Harrop/Whipple don't come with them). Though the Harrop and Whipple are more efficient and have more power potential (though the Magnuson can make a lot more power than it does in stock form, just the limit is higher with the other two).

Something to consider when taking on a project like this is maintenance and repair or upgrades. If you take the time and do the work yourself, it gives you a greater understanding of how the system works, and if something goes wrong or craps out on you in the field you're much more likely to be able to problem solve and resolve the issue yourself.

With that being said, if it's a project that you really don't feel comfortable doing on your own you may want to reach out to a couple of folks that are local to you who've done the installs and see if they'd help walk you through it or at least be a resource if you get stuck during the process.

    Just a thought...

Just looking for something different, never owned a supercharged vehicle. Pretty anal on maintenance and fluid changes on my vehicles but would like to install it and forget it. I'll monitor afr's with a gauge already have a scangauge for Trans temps ...ect

Very little to no maintenance on these things. Maggy's need the snout coupler changed every few years. Other than that not much to them.
