I called Falken today to get the tire pressure that I should be running in a 275/70/18. They asked what the OEM tire were, etc. Falken calculated I should be running the following psi for normal day to day driving:

    Front: 47 psi
    Rear: 50 psi

Tire should be filled after vehicle has been sitting for at least 3 hours.

Do those numbers seem high to anyone?

I have the 116 load rated ones on my 23 tundra. I’ve ran them at 35 and 40-45psi cold. They “sag” about the same in the front regardless I only aired them up cause I was hauling a heavy load. I would probably my run around 40 psi normally cold you can sorta tell by seeing if the tire latch is flat or bowed in the middle if you’re too high in pressure for the load it’s carrying.

Did they explain Factor of Safety (FoS) to you?

You can search for that term to find other posts about pressures.

Chalk test will show you those pressures are high and the ride will be pretty crumby, too.

Unless towing, I'm down around 42 front and 38 rear (I don't haul or carry extra weight). This was in coordination with Falken and actual CAT scale weights to share with them.

Never heard of that term. Will research it. Wonder why Falken calculated it so high in the first place?

I believe the standard load max pressure is 50psi, that’s needed to carry the max load listed on the tire. If you want a better ride and not towing I would go closer to 35. and bump up as needed.

Falken stated to run 47 and 50 psi in the E ply wildpeaks for my tire size.
